Denbigh open day competition - Wins lesson from top eventer
10 February 2012
There were hundreds of entries… but there can only be one winner: following the success of the BOCM PAULS Denbigh Shop Open Day in October 2011 the lucky winner of the flagship equine competition has been announced - Miss Eiddwen Jones of Beidiog Isaf, Llansannan, Denbighshire.
Eiddwen, together with her horse Diva, won an individual riding lesson with British eventing star Hannah Bate, which they enjoyed at her superb yard in Cheshire recently. She was put through her paces and received lots of helpful tips and suggestions during their lesson. She also received a consultation with Hickstead’s nutritionist Elizabeth Whitworth, where the feeding requirements of her show jumpers were discussed. Needless to say she was delighted to have won the prize.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my lesson with Hannah. Her advice with Diva has been very helpful indeed, and has given me lots to work on,” said Eiddwen.
The runner up was Mrs Caroline Jelley, of the Dolgoed Riding School, St Asaph, who won a Hickstead Horse Feeds Saddlecloth and five bags of feed.
BOCM PAULS’ Denbigh Shop is located on the industrial estate in Denbigh, North Wales, and sells a wide variety of feed and associated products for dog, cat, horse and domestic poultry and other smallholder owners.
Opening hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 12pm Saturdays.
“We had an extremely successful open day, and trade from locals has continued to build ever since,” says BOCM PAUL’s Alister Davies.
“We are delighted with the reaction from the people of Denbigh and the surrounding area to the shop, and look forward to growing the business as we stock more and more products in the future.”
